Preparatory briefing day or two in London with Alexandra who can advise on dress, help you shop for kit and suitable attire, advise on etiquette and protocols, take you through the day and what to expect, explain the nature and history of Belvoir Castle and a little about it’s owners. Thus you will be prepared for your full-emersion experience.

Luncheon, afternoon tea or formal dinner with the Duke and/or Duchess of Rutland, who are very old friends of Alexandra’s.

THE Earl and Countess of Mansfield, Scone Palace, SCOTLAND

Alexandra worked with Mungo Stormont, as the present Earl was then called, at Sotheby’s auction house where they were colleagues in the sporting guns department. Becoming good friends, they later learned that Mungo’s ancestor William Murray, 1st Earl of Mansfield, had been helped by Alexandra’s ancestor Lord Foley. Murray walked to London from Perthshire to meet Foley, who later paid for his education.
